The online course is self-paced, and the student has 365 days to complete the training.
After you’ve enrolled in the program, you will receive an activation email with a username and password to access our student portal. You will have access to the online course on the home page of the student portal.
Scheduling behind-the-wheel lessons and drive tests will all be done over the phone with the office. When you are ready to schedule, call 503-581-3783.
The Hybrid Program is not equivalent to the in-person driver education program. The curriculum taught is very similar and the student will learn the same concepts that are taught in the teen program. However, the Hybrid Program is not ODOT approved, it will not gain the student a “by-pass” certificate.
This program is intended to be an alternative option for students who are adults and need classroom training, students who are almost 18 and do not qualify for the ODOT approved teen program, and teen students who are too busy to comply with the ODOT requirements of the ODOT approved teen program.
An in-house ODEC certificate may be provided after the completion of behind-the-wheel training. A request for the certificate must be submitted to the ODEC office. The online training certificate is provided by IMPROV upon the completion of the online training program.
Many insurance companies do offer discounts for students completing this course. You will want to call your insurance agent for specific information.
