Job Posting: Scheduling Manager

 

Oregon Driver Education Center is hiring a Scheduling Manager to help keep our programs running smoothly. This role is responsible for coordinating schedules for both our teen driver education courses and private driving lessons. You’ll also assist with answering phones, managing administrative tasks, and supporting our team with day-to-day office operations. We’re looking for someone who is organized, reliable, and easy to work with. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential, along with the ability to handle multiple phone lines professionally. Candidates should be comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer systems. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, positive, and thrives in a team environment. This position plays a key role in helping students and families have a smooth, positive experience with our school. Starting pay is $18/hour or more depending on experience. Full-time employees are eligible for medical benefits after 90 days.

In this dynamic role, you’ll be at the forefront of driver education, providing engaging classroom instruction, hands-on behind-the-wheel training, and comprehensive lessons on defensive driving, motor vehicle safety, licensing requirements, and vehicle maintenance. Requirments

  • Minimum 24 years old.
  • No more than two traffic violations/collisions in the past two years.
  • Valid driver’s license for at least three years in Oregon or adjacent state.
  • Clean criminal record.
  • Pass a drug screen.
  • Maintain current basic first aid and CPR certifications.
  • Complete 15 hours of continuing education every two years.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Possess computer skills for course delivery and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver course materials.
  • Adapt instructional methods to individual student needs.
  • Provide both classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction.
  • Maintain student records and progress reports.
  • Participate in team meetings and adhere to ODEC policies.
  • Represent ODEC at workshops, conferences, and meetings.

Pay Structure and Benefits:

  • $20hr starting with raises available every 6 months.
  • Paydays are every other Friday, covering the pay period two weeks prior.
  • Group health benefits for full-time employees (32+ hours/week) after 90 days.
  • Vision and dental plans available (employee-paid).

Bonuses:

  • $500 bonus upon successful completion of each in-house phase of WOU courses.
  • Additional $500 bonus upon DMV certification.
  • Total $2,000 bonus contingent upon completing 300 hours post-training.
