Job Description:

Are you ready to hit the road to an exciting and impactful career? As a Driver Training Instructor with the Oregon Driver Education Center (ODEC), you'll do more than just teach— you'll inspire and shape the next generation of safe drivers!

In this dynamic role, you’ll be at the forefront of driver education, providing engaging classroom instruction, hands-on behind-the-wheel training, and comprehensive lessons on defensive driving, motor vehicle safety, licensing requirements, and vehicle maintenance. Requirments

Minimum 24 years old.
No more than two traffic violations/collisions in the past two years.
Valid driver’s license for at least three years in Oregon or adjacent state.
Clean criminal record.
Pass a drug screen.
Maintain current basic first aid and CPR certifications.
Complete 15 hours of continuing education every two years.
Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Possess computer skills for course delivery and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver course materials.
Adapt instructional methods to individual student needs.
Provide both classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction.
Maintain student records and progress reports.
Participate in team meetings and adhere to ODEC policies.
Represent ODEC at workshops, conferences, and meetings.

Pay Structure and Benefits:

$20hr starting with raises available every 6 months.
Paydays are every other Friday, covering the pay period two weeks prior.
Group health benefits for full-time employees (32+ hours/week) after 90 days.
Vision and dental plans available (employee-paid).

Bonuses:

$500 bonus upon successful completion of each in-house phase of WOU courses.
Additional $500 bonus upon DMV certification.
Total $2,000 bonus contingent upon completing 300 hours post-training.
