In the State of Texas, residence are required to take and successfully complete the Driver Knowledge Test and/or the Safe Driving Practices Test based on the Rules, Regulations and Traffic Laws for the State in order to obtain a learners permit or drivers license.

To pass the Knowledge Test, also known as the permit test, in the State of Texas you give at least 21 correct answers to 30 questions with a minimum score of 70%.
